The Dakota Digital MLX Series Gauges for Fatbob models offer a versatile digital display with numerous features designed for performance, convenience, and visibility. This unit includes a customizable speedometer (switchable between MPH and km/h), bar-style tachometer with an adjustable shift point, voltmeter, clock, gear position indicator, odometer with dual trip meters, service and hour meters, and indicators for security and low fuel. It also provides cylinder temperature readings when applicable. For performance tracking, the gauge calculates and displays high-speed and RPM recall, 0-60 mph timer, 1/4-mile time and speed, and numeric RPM readouts, all accessible via a two-line message center. The screen automatically adjusts brightness, dimming for nighttime use and brightening to ensure excellent visibility even in direct sunlight. The MLX-2011 model can display oil pressure and oil temperature with separately available sensors. Optional MBM expansion modules allow for additional readings like air pressure, boost pressure, and compass heading. The display features 31 customizable illumination colors, enabling you to personalize the color for speed readings, bar graphs, gauge labels, and the message center, or choose from 12 preset themes. Note that installation for bikes from 2003 and older may require hard wiring adjustments.
